Letter from Recruitment Chair
Hello potential new members!
Congratulations on your acceptance to WashU and welcome to your new home! As Vice President of Membership of the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Delta Gamma, I speak on behalf of our chapter when I say we are SO excited to meet you in the coming months and throughout recruitment! Joining this chapter as truly impacted my college experience for the better so my hope is for each one of you to find that same feeling of a second home within the WashU community.
If you have nerves about formal recruitment, as someone who has been through the process I can genuinely promise you it is not worth your time stressing about. It is truly an exciting week of meeting incredible people and finding who will become some of your best friends at WashU:) Deciding to go through formal recruitment is without a doubt one of the best decisions I’ve made in my time here and has given me my people for life. I highly encourage anyone who is the slightest bit interested to try it out and see what joining the entire Panhellenic community is all about!
Opening my bid day card and reading “Delta Gamma” was an ecstatic moment before I ran across Graham Chapel to one of my best friends to find out we would be sisters. I wish this moment for everyone that goes through recruitment of finding your home away from home. These women have pushed me to be the best version of myself and have been there for me from bringing me ice cream to late nights at Law or supporting me at my varsity softball games. They amaze me everyday with their diverse passions and enthusiasm towards everything they do. Delta Gamma also gives our members numerous leadership opportunities, networking, and service events for our own philanthropy located right here in St. Louis and the greater community. As a chapter we foster the highest ideals of sisterhood, while making amazing friends and unforgettable memories.
I wish you all the best of luck in formal recruitment and all of your other endeavours. You have an exciting journey ahead of you and we cannot wait to meet each and every one of you in January!

Welcoming new members is one of Delta Gamma’s favorite parts of the year and we are so excited to get to know you and your classmates!
If you are at all nervous about the recruitment process, don’t be! I promise that all the excitement a sorority holds will overcome your fears. Rushing and joining Delta Gamma have been the best decisions I have made in college. We encourage any women interested in joining the Greek community to rush and see what it is all about. Recruitment is a great experience where you are given the opportunity to meet hundreds of incredible Panhellenic women whom may become your sisters for a lifetime!
Joining Delta Gamma has created a home away from home for me here at Wash U. I have grown so much from being a part of this chapter, and I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many role models. Our passionate, dynamic, enthusiastic sisterhood attracts women from around the world with many unique interests. Delta Gamma gives members countless opportunities to take on leadership roles, network, and take part in philanthropic events that benefit our national philanthropy, Service for Sight. As a chapter we foster the highest ideals of sisterhood, while making amazing friends and unforgettable memories.
I wish you the best of luck during formal recruitment! You have an exciting journey ahead of you, and we cannot wait to get to know you in January!
